Click3X was given the opportunity to partner with agency VML on executing the #BBQ4Merica 360 degree campaign for Wendy's. In the first installment, Click 3Xs director, Dan Powell, shot celebrity talents Alfonso Ribeiro, Ralph Macchio and Steve Austin in parody faux-PSAs aimed to promote Wendy's new BBQ offerings to non-traditional BBQ communities across the nation. Once launched, these videos connected a live Tumblr site to Wendy's Twitter and Facebook pages. We surpassed the original target of 2.5 million views and resulted in 7.5 million views from Facebook alone. Next was the live "Tweetathon". Spearheaded by celebrity host Alfonso Ribeiro we seamlessly compiled a total of 19 Twitter challenge and response videos that brought us into direct conversation with Wendy's consumers. Through the integration of live-action, post-production and social engagement across three shoots in a three week timeframe, we created 26 videos, countless gifs, millions of engagements over multiple channels.
